DIY Cardboard "Kamakura House" (Japanese Cat Nest) - Part 1

For a while I have been thinking that it would be great to make some stuff for my cat! Apparently many people had the same thought, so I found some great ideas online. I think I'll start with the cardboard version of a Japanese cat "nest", which is one of my favorites and impossible to get in Europe.

Unfortunately not available in Europe and also pretty hard to make it yourself...

But there's a cool cardboard alternative, Kamakura's house, that inspired me:

In the meanwhile, it would be great if I could make some cat toys, but I do not have crochet or any other special skills :-) So I am still researching...
